They would look a little better and match the case, so yes, maybe next time.

I appreciate the comment on the photos - I do put a lot of time into them. Sometimes I don't want to stop working to take them (sometimes I don't!), but I am always glad later.

Thank you for commenting.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03176548997819533683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5318585149114723707.post-40174184541176514362010-07-27T15:00:03.406-08:002010-07-27T15:00:03.406-08:00Anxo from the north of Spain.

Thanks for your kind words.

Brain - Yeah, finished is good, sometimes more than others :) I'm not sure what's next project wise. I'm about to do some major surgery on the shop. Should keep me busy for a while. Plus, I've got a lot to learn for my new teaching job - more on that later. I've done a couple of repair projects that I might post, but we'll see. What's...Woot, always great to get one finished! What's next?

I just did some grooves this morning. I can't use holdfasts like you did here because I'm using a router plane. I ended up using dogs and a LV wonder dog. One of these days, I'm going to make some flat wedges for this sort of thing.

Sometimes the holdfasts aren't really strong enough for planing. I can't remember what it was recently that I was working on where their grip kept slipping. Was it the nightstand shelf rabbets? I ended up using a big C-clamp.Brianhttp://www.galoototron.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5318585149114723707.post-23436358927504992642010-07-26T13:03:04.239-08:002010-07-26T13:03:04.239-08:00Dan, I've thoroughly enjoyed your presentation...Dan, I've thoroughly enjoyed your presentation of this project.
