Having a 3 and a 5 year old myself, there's nothing I enjoy more than the company of kids when they venture into the woodshop for a visit. Always curious and eager to learn.(that and the fact that my 3 year old daughter decided that sweeping daddy's floor is 'fun'!) She just picked up my bench brush and a little dustpan and will easily spend 20 minutes sweeping up the shavings into a nice pile in the corner... hey, who am I to tell her the difference? - ;) Cheers!
Wow, he's getting big! He'll be sweeping floors and flattening boards in no time. :o)
ReplyDeleteI think it's time for a bench of his own there Dan! It's nice having apprentices in the shop ;)!

Kari - I know! Where does the time go? And the way he uses that dust brush, I think it might be more like flattening the floor!
ReplyDeleteBob - I think he's already claimed the saw bench as his... I'm gonna need a bigger shop.
Tom - Teague thinks sweeping is fun too, but he doesn't have the neat pile thing down yet. His goal is more like "even distribution." :)
Fantastic, When my kids were that age they wanted to help. In a year or so, not so much.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy them!
John - I know, he is growing so fast, it's kind of bittersweet...
