Wow! I guess I never really thought how easy it would be to make one. Even I could make one of those! Does it matter what kind of wood you use? I definitely need a yardstick of DOOM!!!
Georgie - I think just about any wood should work - but the shaving won't hold up to much use. If you made one from a yardstick of doom, well that would last longer I am sure. But there aren't too many of those around - maybe ebay?
Last night, while cleaning the shop in preparation for a new project, I considered getting rid of a yardstick that has been sitting forlornly in the corner, something about the sentimental value of things past... Today I'm marching right out and giving it new life!
Autumndoucet - Two new lives actually - one for the shaving and one for the freshly planed wood (mine became slats for a small crate for my son's Hot Wheels - I'll post it soon). Thanks for commenting!
Burma!
ReplyDeleteI panicked.
DeleteHilarious :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Zach!
DeleteHow many can you get out of one yardstick?
ReplyDeleteTwo, one from each side. Of course, if I sharpened that iron, I bet I could split the ink layer in half and get four!
