    Most people wouldn't understand what "joy" and these images have in common.

    I know the feeling though, you sit there sometimes planing away at nothing, just to make a shaving that's, just so thin, clean, and perfectly curled.

    Well, every once in a while a comment slips by me - belated thanks Kari! It is almost always a good day in the shop :)

    Trevor - And the sound of the plane at work, the smell of the newly exposed wood that fills the shop, and the smooth, almost burnished feel of the fresh surface - aah, joy indeed!
